On this custom home at high elevation, we utilized several premium insulation applications to ensure a high performance home both thermally and acoustically.
Here we utilized R-38 Closed Cell Spray Foam at the roof line to ensure maximum thermal performance of the attic space.
Exterior walls were air sealed and installed with R-23 Blown In Fiberglass for maximum thermal and acoustic performance.Later a poly vapor barrier was installed to satisfy code requirements.
Sound control was a big concern for this home owner. Sheetrock was installed one side of all interior walls to allow us to blow in R-23 Fiberglass for maximum sound control. Acoustic putty pads were installed around all electrical outlets and light switches to further reduce noise transfer.
